"Come To Jesus"*
By F.A.I.T.H.**
In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for
a person to go to heaven?
F is for FORGIVENESS. We cannot
have eternal life without God’s forgiveness. “In Him [Jesus] we have
redemption from sin through His blood, the forgiveness of sin.” Ephesians
3:7
A is for AVAILABLE.
God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on should not perish but
have everlasting life. Forgiveness is available, but not Automatic.
Jesus said, “Not everyone who says unto me LORD, LORD will enter into the
kingdom of heaven.” Matt 7:21
I is for IMPOSSIBLE.
It is
impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. God is Love (John 3:16). But
God is also Just. “For judgment is without mercy.” Man is Sinful.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Ro. 3:23. How
then can sinful man enter into heaven where God allows no sin?
T is for TURN. Turn means to
repent. You turn from something – sin and self. “Unless you repent, you
will also likewise perish.” Luke 13:3b. Perish means to
be delivered up to eternal misery. That simply means to be separated from
God eternally in hell.
Turn to Someone – trust Jesus Christ only. The Bible
says, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He
was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
1 Corinthians. 15:3-4. The Bible also says," If you confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. Ro. 10:9.
H is for HEAVEN. Heaven is eternal
life. Here and now “I have come that you may have life and that you
may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. Hereafter. “And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself;
that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:3.
How than, can a person have God’s forgiveness, heaven, eternal life and
Jesus as Lord and Savior? It is a mater of F.A.I.T.H. Forsaking All, I
Trust Him. Are you willing to turn from your sin and
receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
How can you receive Christ? If you truly desire
to receive Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior, there is a simple
prayer that will help you. From, the depth of your heart, pray the
following simple prayer.
Dear God, I know that I am a
sinner, for your Word says "all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God." I believe in my heart that Jesus died for my sins and was
buried and rose again the third day. Right now, I am repenting of my sin
and by faith, asking Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and
Savior.
